It’s located in western Uganda covering part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Maramagambo forest stretches from the escarpment of Kichwamba and all through to Lake Edward.

The missing boy in the community was rescued from this forest and after his rescue, he was not able to speak. The forest was therefore named after the situation which forced the boy speechless.
Maramagambo forest in Bushenyi district is bordered Lake Kyasanduka and Nyamasingiri. The forest is famous for its bat caves. The tourists explore the bat caves to see bats and the python which is the permanent resident.
The forest protects primates like red tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkeys, L’hoest monkey, Baboon, Red Tailed monkey, The Blue Monkey, Vervet monkeys and so on. The forest also harbors night moving mammals like potto and Bush babies and Leopards among others.
Special bird species in Maramagambo forest include: Rwenzori Turoco, white napped pigeons and fly catcher among others.

- Forest Trail – Walk through the forest to see a variety of attractions.
- River Trail – walk along River Kajojo
- Palm Trail – Its a 5kms walk to the palm gardens
- Valley Trail – The valley covers 31/2km and 2hrs walk over the valley.
- Water Fall Trail – 11 kms walk and takes 4-5hrs walk to reach Kilyantama falls.
