Day 1: Arrival and pick up from Entebbe airport
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative/ driver and transfer you to your hotel. You will have dinner and overnight at Serena hotel, Cassia lodge or Kampala Forest Cottages.
Day 2: Kampala city tour
After your breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel by our tour guide and do a city tour around Kampala, visit the Bulange the king’s palace, Makerere university one of the oldest universities in Africa, Uganda museum among others and kasubi tombs where the kabakas (Kings) are buried. Time permitting, you will go to Namugongo martyrs shrine where the Uganda martyrs were killed and buried. Return at day 1 for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Kampala City tour and transfer to Jinja
Have your breakfast and do a city tour to the places you didn’t visit the previous day before you transfer to Jinja, visit the Baha’i temple which is the only one in Africa among the 10 temples in the world, Namirembe cathedral and old Kampala mosque and enjoy the beautiful views of the whole Kampala suburbs while on top of the mosque, lunch and transfer to Jinja in Eastern Uganda and if time permits, you will en route visit sezibwa falls in Buikwe district on river sezibwa which said to have been given birth by a woman, and later proceed to jinja town. You will have dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile resort or paradise hotel Jinja.
Day 4: Bujagali falls and white water rafting
After your breakfast, visit the Bujagali falls and do water rafting, have lunch and relax at the falls, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Mountain Elgon National park
Have early morning breakfast and drive to Mount Elgon national park in Eastern Uganda through Mbale and kapchorwa district. Dinner and overnight at Mt Elgon hotel, Kapkwata guest house or Suam guest house.
Day 6: Nature walks and community tour
After your breakfast, visit the sipi falls on the edges of Mountain Elgon, while at the sipi falls your able to see the beautiful slopes of mount Elgon, lake kyoga and the plains of karamoja and enjoy the sounds of the roaring waters as they run down the bottom of the falls. Have lunch and go for community tour as you enjoy the coffee plantations and learn from the farmers up to time of processing and selling, visit the bagisu communities and be entertained on their cultural dances. Return to day 5 for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer to Kidepo valley National Park
In the morning after your breakfast, transfer to Kidepo valley national park in Northern Uganda via Mbale sironko- moroto- kotido- kaabongo to Kidepo (12hours) drive by road or you can use air transport means from Kajjansi airfield 2 hours. You will have dinner and overnight at Apoka safari lodge, Apoka rest camp, kidepo Savannah lodge.
Day 8: Game drive and nature walk
Have your breakfast and go for morning drive along the Narus valley, you will be rewarded with sights of many wild animals like elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, antelopes, buffaloes, bush duiker, jackal, bush bucks among others. Return to your lodge for lunch and go for nature walks to the Narus valley and visit the karamojong people in the areas and enjoy their life styles and way of living. Return at day 7 for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Cultural tour
After your breakfast, hike to the morungole Mountain where the ik tribe leaves who are also called people of the mountain, it may take you 7 hours to climb up in the mountain as you also take gifts for them as a norm when you visit. Dinner and overnight at day 7.
Day 10: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park
After your breakfast, transfer to Murchison falls national park. Dinner and overnight at paraa Safari lodge, Murchison River lodge, Red chill safari camp.
Day 11: Game drive and Boat cruise
After breakfast in the morning go for game drive in the northern side of the park where many wild animals can be seen like elephants, lions, antelopes, giraffes, warthogs, buffaloes, topis, leopards among others and many bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch and go for a boat cruise on Victoria Nile where you will also be rewarded with more wild animals including hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and more bird species on the water banks. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12: Hike top of the falls and transfer to kibale national park
Have your breakfast and hike to the top of the falls for photography and scenic views of the falls running down to the bottom of the falls, have lunch and drive to kibale national park. Dinner and overnight at Ndali lodge, primate lodge, Rwenzori view guest house.
Day 13: Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk
Have early morning breakfast and move to the park headquarters for briefing and transfer to the forests guided by the ranger guides in search for the chimpanzees, your given 1 hour on encounter with primates for observation and photography before you leave the forest. Return to your lodge for lunch and if you are not tired you can go for nature walk/rest. Dinner and overnight at day 12.
Day 14: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After your breakfast in the morning, drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, check in, have lunch and do game drive in the mweya peninsular, you will see many wild animals, warthogs, lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, kobs, antelopes, sitatungas among others, dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge, Enganzi safari lodge, mweya hostel.
Day 15: morning game drive and boat cruise
After your breakfast, go for early morning game drive through the kasenyi trail to catch up with the early morning risers as they come out to look for what to eat such as the lions, leopards,bush pigs, jackals, elephants, water bucks, buffaloes, antelopes and many more, you can also visit lake katwe and see how salt is mined . Return to lodge for lunch and go for boat cruise on kazinga channel that connects lake George and lake Edward. You will also have chance to see more water loving wild animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, water bucks and many bird species especially those that come from different countries due to the changes in the weather. Back to lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Ishasha drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
After your breakfast do game drive to the ishasha sector an see more wild animals like elephants, leopards and especially the tree climbing lions which are most known for the ishasha sector that sleep up in the trees, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla safari lodge, Silver back lodge, Buhoma homestead.
Day 17: Gorilla trekking and cultural tour
Have early morning breakfast and move to the headquarters for briefing and embark on a breath taking memorable experience of gorilla trekking in the forest guided by the ranger guides to the gorilla family that your allocated to, your given 1 hour for observations, interactions and photography before you leave the forest, in the evening after relaxations, you can go for a cultural tour to the batwa community, enjoy their cultural dances, learn about their historical backgrounds. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 18: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your breakfast, drive to lake Bunyonyi, the second largest lake in Uganda for relaxations, you can do swimming or go canoeing and visit the islands the lake with so many small birds which was a result of its name lake Bunyonyi. You can also visit the punishment island and learn about its history and the girls who were punished from there when they got pregnant before marriage. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi safari resort, Bunyonyi overland camp, Bushara island camp.
Day 19: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
After you morning breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo national park, stopover at Igongo cultural centre Mbarara for lunch and proceed to lake mburo national park, check in and do a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge, Mburo safari camp, Eagle’s Nest.
Day 20: Game drive and boat cruise
Breakfast and go for game drive with your guide and ranger guide through the Savannah grasslands of lake mburo national park, you will see the antelopes, sitatungas, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, jackals, water bucks, topis, zebras, giraffes among others. Return to lodge for lunch and go for boat cruise on lake mburo where you will also see other wild animals like hippos, crocodiles, many bird species, buffaloes, water bucks that come to drink water from the lake. You will dinner and overnight at day 19.
Day 21: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe airport
After your breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala/ Entebbe airport, en route at the equator for photography, scientific experimentation and last shopping and proceed to Entebbe airport for your flight back to your next destination.
