On arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional safari guide/ driver. Be briefed and then transfer to Jinja Town. En route stopover in Mabira Forest to see birds, monkeys, unique tree species, and drainage features among others. Proceed to Jinja for dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.
Day 2: Boat cruise on River Nile- visit the origin of River Nile – White water rafting
After breakfast, drive to River Nile for a boat cruise, visit the origin of the River Nile- take photos, and then return to the land- drive to the falls for white water rafting. Enjoy the cool breeze on River Nile falls- have lunch and then drive back to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, drive to the largest National park in Uganda (Murchison Falls National park). You will en route visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. You will proceed to the park- visit the top of Murchison falls. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari Lodge
Day 4: Morning Game drive – afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls
After breakfast, enjoy an early morning game drive to see elephants, lions, antelopes, and buffaloes among others. Return to your Lodge for lunch, and relax as you prepare for an afternoon boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Expect to see crocodiles, monitor lizards, hippos, and many bird species. You will have dinner and overnight at your previous Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale National park (Home of chimpanzees). The journey is amazing as it will take you through local villages- to view how local people do their routine work. Proceed to the park for dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will move to the park headquarters for briefing with other trekkers. In groups, you will move into the jungle to search for the amazing chimps. Meet them in the forests, chat, and take films/photos – return to your Lodge for lunch and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at your previous accommodation.
Day 7: Transfer to Semliki National park – Nature walk and Hot springs
After breakfast, drive to semuliki National Park for Nature walks- visit the Sepaya hot springs and do game drives in the park to see a variety of wild animals and birds among others. Dinner and overnight at Semuliki game Lodge.
Day 8: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
After breakfast, drive to the home of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. Move via the Ishasha sector to see the tree-climbing lions swinging on fig trees. Proceed to the park for dinner and overnight at Mahogany Spring Lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking – Batwa community tour
After breakfast, you will be briefed and then move on to your gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi. This exercise takes approximately 3-5hrs and only one hour is given to clearly see Gorillas, chat and take photos/ films. Return to your lodge for lunch; relax a bit as you prepare for the Batwa visit. Enjoy local music, dance, and drama performed by the Batwa pygmies. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at your previous Lodge.
Day 10: Cross to Rwanda – Visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial Museum – Kigali Airport
After breakfast, drive to Kigali to visit one of Rwanda’s Genocide Memorial Museum- lunch and then drive to Kigali Airport for an evening departure.
