Day 1: Kigali Airport – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Musanze community tour
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional Safari guide/ driver – Transfer to the home of Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. Arrival for community tour: visit the Iby’wacu cultural tours for lots of edutainement. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge or Muhabura Hotel.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking – Relax in the afternoon
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters (with packed lunch and water). Have 30 minutes briefing about gorilla tracking. Thereafter, join other trackers and head up the slopes of the forest to visit one of the habituated groups of gorillas. The trek is quite strenuous, so you should be able to hike for 2-5hours on steep mountain trails before meeting gorillas camouflaged in thick vegetation. Enjoy the view and take photographs for a maximum of one hour. Return to the park headquarters for lunch, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at your previous Lodge.
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali Airport – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali Airport via Gatuna boarder. Drop off
