On arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional safari guide/ driver – transfer to Volcanoes national park (Home to ten habituated Gorilla groups). The journey will offer you the view of the amazing Virunga ranges including Mount Karisoke, Mount Karisimbi, Mount Muhabura, Mount Sabyinyo and so on. Arrival for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight at Virunga Lodge, Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge Or Muhabura Hotel.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking – Return to Kigali
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters (with packed lunch and water). Have 30 minutes briefing about gorilla tracking. Thereafter, join your trackers and head up the slopes of the forest to visit one of the habituated groups of gorillas. The trek is quite strenuous, so you should be able to hike for 2-5hours on steep mountain trails before meeting gorillas camouflaged in thick vegetation. Enjoy the view and take photographs for a maximum of one hour. Return for lunch and then drive back to Kigali for your departure flight back home.
