Day 1: pick up and transfer to hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera national park
In the morning after breakfast transfer to Akagera national park, North west of Rwanda 2-3 hrs from Kigali, reaching on lunch time at Akagera game lodge, Rusizi tented lodge, Zebra tourism hotel. After relaxation go for afternoon boat cruise where you will spot different animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many more on the river banks. Dinner and over night at the your hotel.
Day 3: Game drive in Akagera national park
After morning breakfast, go for a a scenic game drive which may take you the whole day , along the way you will view many animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hyenas, lions antelopes before they go hiding in the woodlands of Akagera national park. back to Day 2 for dinner and over night.
Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park.
In the morning transfer to Nyungwe forest national park south west of Rwanda, with en route to Murambi Genocide memorial site where the remains of the bodies killed during the Rwanda Genocide where buried for remembrance, Nyanza(kings palace) and National museum at Butare for photography and adventure and lunch as well. Reaching Nyungwe late for dinner and over night at Nyungwe forest lodge, Nyungwe top view lodge, Gisakura guest house.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest national park.
In the morning drive to the park headquarters for briefing and paper work, with packed lunch, drinking water embark on the beautiful experience of chimpanzee tracking. It will take you 1-6 hrs depending on how far the primates are, though they dont normally go far like gorillas. You are given 1 hr to interruct and take pictures with chimpanzees after finding them. You will also meet different monkey and bird species. Return for dinner and overnight stay at day 4.
Day 6: Canopy walk in Nyungwe forest
After morning breakfast go for a breath taking canopy walk in Nyungwe forest where you will have a beautiful view of forest with very many bird species. Return to hotel for Dinner and over night.
Day 7: Transfer from Nyungwe forest national park to Volcanoes national park
In the morning enjoy the drive to volcanoes national park, make stopovers at Lake Kivu in Gisenyi for photography and lunch. Reach volcanoes national park in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at mountain gorilla view lodge, Da vinci lodge, Muhabura lodge.
Day 8: Gorilla tracking and cultural visits
Early in the morning, with packed breakfast and lunch snacks you will drive to the headquarters at Kinigi for pre tracking briefing and paper work as you get ready to embark on a memorable experience of gorilla tracking. Start on the search for gorillas in the volcano rain forest for 1-6 hrs depending on the group you are allocated to and how far the gorillas are, your given 1 hr after finding the gorillas to take photos, videos and interrupting with them before exiting the forest. In the evening after relaxation you may go for a cultural visit to the ibyiwacu cultural village. Dinner and over night at day 7.
Day 9: Golden monkey tracking OR Dian Fossey tomb tour.
In the morning after breakfast go for golden monkey tracking where you will see the golden monkeys and other monkey species like vervet monkey and after go and visit the Dian Fossey tomb An American Gorilla conservationist who was murdered and then buried at karisoke research centre between mount Karisimbi and mount Bisoke. Dinner and over at Day 8.
Day 10: Transfer from Volcanoes national back to Kigali city and airport transfer
In the morning transfer back to Kigali city, 1-2 hrs drives. Go for a city tour around Kigali visit the Kigali convention centre, Gisozi Genocide memorial and local markets then lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to Kigali airport for your flight to the next destination.
End of safari
