There are many reasons people travel from one location to another. Some travel for health services, others travel to simply explore a destination but some people simply find that they have some extra time at their disposal to do an activity or two during their business trip to a particular destination.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Uganda offers a number of safari options for business travelers. These include but are not limited to city tours, cultural performances, game drives, chimpanzee tracking, hikes, and gorilla trekking safaris.
Business travelers rarely have a lot of time at their disposal. But even if they only have two days to spare, they can still successfully execute a 2 days gorilla safari in Uganda. This safari is often executed with two options; They either opt for a flying safari which requires you to take local flights within Uganda or fly out from Kigali Rwanda.
It is therefore important that if you are considering a gorilla trekking safari to Uganda during your Business trip, you plan your departure flights accordingly.
Flying Business Gorilla Safari
There are two local flight options. The first option is Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip while the second option is Entebbe to Kisoro. But these two options pose one challenge; the failure to fly in case of bad weather. It is not common for flights to be affected by the weather in Uganda but you cannot rule out the possibility of this issue.
The advantage of the flying gorilla safari is it reduces your transfer time from Entebbe to either Bwindi impenetrable national park or Mgahinga gorilla national park. It takes eight to nine hours to transfer from Entebbe to the gorilla national parks by car.
Business Gorilla Safari By Road
There is one major gateway into Uganda, and that is Entebbe international airport. It takes a minimum of eight hours by road from Entebbe international airport to the gorilla national parks. But when you opt for Kigali Rwanda, it will take you an average of four hours to reach any of the gorilla national parks in Uganda.
The gorilla trek takes an average of five hours. This includes the briefing before the gorilla trek, the trek in search of the gorillas, the one hour with the mountain gorillas, and then the trek back to the park offices where you will receive your gorilla trekking certificate.
