River Nile In Uganda

River Nile is the longest in Africa and the world at large, it’s source is in Jinja – south East of Uganda, approximately 87 kilometers from Kampala on the shores of Lake Victoria.  The Nile flows through nine countries including Uganda, Egypt, Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and Democratic Republic of Congo and pours its water in Mediterranean Sea.

Jinja is formally the Uganda’s industrial centre and the hosts the main source of River Nile that cannot be missed on your road trip to eastern Uganda. Enjoy the boat cruise on River Nile which allows you to visit the source of the Nile, the different bird species of the Nile including the Kingfishers, weaver birds  among others.

You can reach Jinja via Mabira forest -the biggest natural forest in Uganda, stopover and watch the amazing unique bird species, tree species, sources of forest rivers – feel fresh Air and then proceed to Jinja town- continue to River Nile – board a boat to the origin of River Nile.
