Its believed that Uganda protected half of the world’s existing Mountain Gorillas. Uganda is as well park of Virunga regions (Mgahinga National Park) and the region is shared with Rwanda Volcanoes National Park) and Democratic Republic of Congo (Virunga National Park). Statistic shows that Uganda receives More that twenty tourists yearning to trek Gorillas on a daily basis.
Chimpanzee tours – There are more than one destinations hosting chimpanzees in Uganda. Such destinations include Kyambura Gorge, Toro- Semuriki game reserve, Budongo Forest, Kalinzu game reserve and Kibale National Park. All sectors receive visitors and offers amazing chimpanzee trekking experiences. Chimpanzee trekking involves walking through the jungles while searching for the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Once the trekkers meet chimps, they are allowed to chat and take photos while ranger guides make more clarifications about their life styles, behaviors and so on.
Game viewing trips/ Game drives– They are conducted in savanna parks including Murchison Falls national Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park. The tourist seat in well ventilated or open roofed vehicles and view animals and birds while in driving through the park. The game drive also rewards the views of amazing relief features, Drainage, Unique vegetation and so on.
White water rafting tours – White water rafting is currently done on River Nile (the longest River in the world). Visit seat in rafting boats and start sailing over the waves of the Nile under the guidance of the captains. Its amazing and life time event… if you enjoy white water rafting in Uganda….forget boat trip because the level of satisfaction obtained is75% to 25% respectively.
Boat trips on Uganda’s Lakes, Rivers and channels among others leaves a lot to be desired. Enjoy boat trips on Lake Mburo, Kazinga channel and in Murchison Falls in Uganda to see the amazing water loving birds and mammals like crocodiles, Lizards, Hippos and so on-this is indeed a life time trip in Uganda.
Cultural trips – visit Kabaka’s Lake, Kasubi Tombs, Uganda Museum, the Batwa people, the Ik people, the Gishu people among others. Expect to learn more about people’s culture, enjoy music, dance and drama, listen to historical stories, fortune tellers and so on. When you visit cultural areas in Uganda, expect to take photos, watch documentaries and enjoyments among others.
Religious trip – The most popular one is the Namugongo Religious tour which is conducted every 3rd June every year. unfortunately, the celebration has been cancelled this year (2019) due to COVID-19 pandemic which has affected the entire world.
