Chimpanzee Trekking is the second thought activity after Gorilla trekking. Chimpanzee trekking occurs in Kibale National park, Budongo Forest (Murchison Falls National Park), Toro- Semuliki National Park, Kyambura Gorge (Queen Elizabeth National Park) and Kalinzu Forest (Queen Elizabeth National Park).

1.The best Chimp trek in Kibale. In East Africa, Kibale National Park offers the best chimpanzee trekking and has the large troops of chimpanzees. It’s interesting to find chimpanzees in large troops but this is normal in Kibale National Park.
2.The prevailing peace in Uganda pulls a large number of trekkers. Since 1986, Uganda has been peaceful and that has promoted the country’s tourism at large.
3. Ugandans are hospitable and welcoming citizens. Ugandans are willing to socialize with foreign visitors in peace and harmony.
4. Compared to Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking is not so strenuous. In Kibale National Park, chimps are easily found thus two trekking sessions are done per day.
5. Cheap permits. Uganda has five chimpanzee trekking sites with low prices. Kibale National Park offers chimp trekking at US$200, Budongo Forest at US$50, Toro- Semuliki game reserve at US$50, Kyambura Gorge at US$50 and Kalinzu forest at US$50.
