The tours and travel industry is one of the industries in Uganda that largely depends on foreigners. With the ban on internal travel courtesy of red lists, tours, and travel businesses have been hit worst. In the case of Uganda, relief has been promised but according to many tour operators, the terms of the relief seem to be the main hindrances.

Gorilla trekking in Uganda was put on hold for close to six months. The message of gorilla trekking being on hold in Uganda is still circulating. Some people are not even aware that gorilla trekking resumed. The tourist numbers have not yet picked up. Many tour operators have opted for other businesses for survival.
Chimpanzee Tracking
Similar to gorilla trekking in Uganda, Chimpanzee tracking has so much been affected by the covid-19 pandemic. Many trips have been canceled due to travel restrictions. Some people have failed to trek chimpanzees after being found asymptomatic on the day of chimpanzee tracking.
Savannah Parks
Most of the Savannah national parks have not been stand-alone. They largely depend on the visitors from the primate national park. With primate parks receiving a low turnover of clients, Savannah national parks have similarly been affected.
Lodges in tourist Towns
There are three places in Uganda that mainly depend on tourism. That is Entebbe, Jinja, and Bwindi localities. With a low tourist turn over, most of these lodges struggled to continue in business. Some lodges are not yet in a position to provide similar quality services they had provided earlier.
