Mountain Gorillas remains the major tourist attraction in Uganda. Uganda hosts half of the world’s mountain Gorillas found in Bwindi Impenetrable national Park and Mgahinga National Park which are found in far south western Uganda.

Currently, Uganda protects fifteen Habituated Gorilla Families whereby 14 gorilla gorillas groups are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National park while one is found in Mgahinga National Park.

All the 15 Gorilla groups are officially set for Gorilla tourism and it’s on record that Mountain Gorillas earns the country the highest amount of Foreign exchange. Currently, Uganda Gorilla permit cost US$ 600 per permit.
